"Sale-a-bration" ends today ~ last look

Hi there, hope you are having a lovely Saturday.

Today I will be sharing the last lot of projects I've made using the exclusive products you can get for free as part of this years "Sale-a-bration" event.

These two cards are basically the same, the only real difference is that on the top card I used the "Postage Stamp" punch and on the bottom the "1 1/4" Square" punch.  The card blanks for these are 2/3rd of a sheet of A4 "Confetti Cream" cardstock folded in half.  Cards this size fit into a standard business envelope.

The next couple of cards are Easter cards, which I am waaaay behind on!

The "Everyday Enchantment" DSP is perfect for Easter projects.

On both of these cards I used the large image from "Creative Elements" stamp set as a background stamp.

This next card has a very simple colour palette being just Black, White & Red. This uses the "Fresh Vintage" stamp set from the "Sale-a-bration" collection.

Just to add some interest, I added a string of pearls to underline the sentiment and also on the centre of the butterfly that I cut out using "Beautiful Wings" embosslit and the "Everyday Enchantment" DSP.

... and finally,

A celebration card using the "Outlined Occasions" stamp set, which is another "Sale-a-bration" option.

Well I hope you have found some inspiration amongst these last few projects, I can honestly say that the products being offered for free as part of this years "Sale-a-bration" is outstanding and I'm sorry that they will no longer be available after today, so if you want to get your hands on, please don't delay and get in contact today as I would hate for anyone to be disappointed.  Remember, you can choose 1 item for every £45 spent

"Sale-a-bration" card

Hi,

2nd post of the day and I'm back with another, very simple, "Sale-a-bration" card.

Now as you can see it is a very simple card, but I wanted to share this one with you as I thought you might find the scallop section interesting.

I've cut up into the centre of the scallop circle which creates separate 'petals'.  Unfortunately this photo doesn't shown the dimension I got when I then curled them up,  I also put holes into the larger scallop for additional interest.  I just used my paper piecing tool & mat pack for this.

Oh, and this card uses 2 different options within the "Sale-a-bration" selection, the DSP and the stamp set "Elementary Elegance", which is gorgeous by the way.

That's it for today, back tomorrow for a last look at some projects using these great FREE products available exclusively during "Sale-a-bration" which comes to an end tomorrow :o(

Easter Projects ~ No.3

I was chatting to someone on the phone yesterday and we were talking about getting together after Easter so I said "in about 3 - 4 weeks time?" and they reminded me that Easter is next week!  ~ Blimey, where did that time go!  Thank goodness I had started making my Easter projects already I just need to concentrate on making some cards now as I have less then a week to get them done.

In the meantime, I'm sharing with you a very simple Easter project to pretty up some lovely chocolaty goodness.

You just have to pull the ribbon to slide out the chocolate - simple!

I like this project as you don't damage the wrapping to get the goodies out so the recipient can re-use if they want to.

I'll be back again later today with another last minute "Sale-a-bration" project ~ you only have until end of tomorrow to get your hands on "Sale-a-bration" goodies, and once they are gone, they're gone!

Chat again later, until then, have a great day ... xx

Another last minute "Sale-a-bration" project

Here is the 2nd post for today and as promised, it's another quick project using "Sale-a-bration" products as I want to show you as many as I can before they disappear forever!

As you can see, it's a quick and simple birthday card.  I stamped the "Triple Treat Flower" stamp 3 times in the 3 colours and used the "Fancy Flower", "5-Petal Flower" and 1/2" Circle punch to punch out the various elements of the stamped image and layered them up with dimensional between each layer

I love the simplicity of this card but it looks much more ornate but this is down to the lovely stamped image and the prettiness of the DSP.

Hope you like it, chat again tomorrow, have a lovely evening .... xx

Easter Projects ~ No.2

I'm still having problems loading photo's onto my pages, but at least todays is finally finished.

I have another Easter project to share with you today and again I've used the Everyday Enchantment DSP that's a "Sale-a-bration" exclusive item.

Front View

I used "Naturals Ivory" cardstock to actually make the basket then decorated with the DSP as I wanted something quite Strong so that it would hold the chocolate.

The flower on the front was made with the "Fancy Flower" punch.  Stampin' Up cardstock is made up of 2 layers so that even though the flower  looks like it was made with 2 punched pieces, it is only 1.  I ran it through the crimper a few times to loosen the fibres of the cardstock which then made it easy to pull apart the 2 layers to create the more delicate petal effect.

The actual basket was made with a piece of cardstock that only measures 6x6" but it is still big enough to hold 6 Creme Eggs quite comfortably.

It will also hold a bag of mini eggs.

So, hopefully, that gives you some idea of how large it is inside.

I'll be back later today with another "Sale-a-bration" project, (well, if there isn't too many blogger technical problems!), remember, this special promotion finishes on the 31st March, so only a few more days left!

Chat again later ... xx

Easter Projects ~ No.1

Hi there,

Late posting today as I am having real having real trouble loading photo's on to my blog, so just a quickly as I've been trying to get this post sorted for a couple of hours now :-(

Today I'm sharing with you a little Easter goodie that I put together using a little bit of the the fabulous Everyday Enchantment DSP ~ I am so going to miss this when it's gone, I think it's my favourite DSP, and some cardstock.  The project is actually one that I've seen a lot on the internet recently so not sure where I saw it first.

It's a really quick and simply little project but looks so effective.  As you can see, it's a small gift holder, I think I managed to fit it about 6 or 7 little Lindt chocolate eggs, which I love as they are so yummy

It uses the "Fancy Flower" punch for the top and bottom and, basically, you just fold the petals over, score some cardstock or more DSP to fit.  You can make it as long as you like really.  I used the "Modern Label" punch and a little bit of "Window Sheet" so that I could have the goodies inside on show.

Hope you like it...  xx

Last minute "Sale-a-bration" projects

Hello there,

I was awake at 'stupid O'clock this morning, so I thought I would get to my blog as I haven't posted for a few days ~ opps!

Today's card features the gorgeous "Everyday Enchantment" DSP and the "Fresh Vintage" stamp set, both of which are exclusive "Sale-a-brations" items and are therefore only available for a few more days as this event ends on 31sdt March ~ eek!
I also used the "Swirls & Curls Verses", which is the Hostess gift in the current Spring Mini catalogue.

The card is the same design and layout as the card I sent to my lovely upline Sarah-Jane.  To see her card, please see HERE

Front View

The card rests on the "Pool Party" section at the front rather than the traditional inverted 'V' shaped card.

Front view, open

Side view, open

These cards are great fun to make and I can certainly see lots more of them coming out of my little crafting corner over the summer.

That's it for today, I've just got to do some photo editing of some of the projects I've made recently as I've a few more things to show you that I've made using Sale-a-brations goodies.  Please get in contact soon if you want any of these items as I would have for you to miss out.

take care and chat again tomorrow.... xx

Mother's Day projects - No.4

Less than a week to go till Mother's Day - eek!

Anyway, today's very quick post showcases another project from the CASE'd book files.  This time I was inspired by THIS  project by an American demonstrator, Dawn Griffiths.

It's a little bag with coordinating cards.  What Mum wouldn't want such a cute and practical gift.

Gift bag with cards inside

The pocket of the bag is made using a 6x6" page pocket protector ~ what an fabulous idea!

If you want to know how it's made the page the link above takes you to leads you to Dawn's video.  I used different DSP and stamp set and haven't embellished as much as Dawn does on hers but hopefully it will give you a few ideas.

Enjoy!   xx

Mother's Day projects - No.3

Now I have to be honest and say that this is a scheduled post as I wanted a lay-in this morning but still wanted to make sure that my post went up at a reasonable time ~ well, it is Sunday!  :o)

Today's Mother's day project is a quick little item that can be whipped up in minutes.

They are little mini-size post-it note holders, perfect size for carrying around in a purse or handbag when all you need is a little bit of paper to make a quick note on.

I used Versamark ink and clear embossing powder with the the Sale-a-bration stamp set "Sprinkled Expressions for the floral image and the sentiment from the "Delightful Dozen" stamp set ~ again, I know, but it's such a lovely sentiment.

Inside I stamped the coordinating image from "Sprinkled Expressions" in black StazOn ink, added a little stack of small post-it notes.  I used my Crop-a-dile to punch the hole, then used stitched poly ribbon in matching colour.

This is a really cute little item and can easily be adapted for any occasion.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone! ... xx

Mother's Day projects - No.2

Morning, hope you are well and you're able to find some time to be crafy this weekend!

Today is day 2 of my Mother's Day project ideas and today I have another card for you, but this one is defiantly very different looking to yesterdays.

As you can see, it is much more ornate, but it is just as simple to put together.  "Whisper White" for the card blank, with a layer of "Poppy Parade" then a layer of "Everyday Enchantment" DSP, which is just too gorgeous for words and I still can't believe that this is an free option as part of Stampin' Up's Sale-a-bration event.  I actaully had this much of the card put together for weeks, I liked the DSP so much that I didn't want to put anything over the top of it

Eventually I added the sentiment from the "Delightful Dozen" sentiment set, defiantly something for every occasion in that one, and added some butterflies cut out using "Beautiful Wings" embosslit, a couple of pearls on the butterflies and I was done.  As I say, a really simple card and a great layout that can be used again and again for all sorts of occasions and it still lets that beautiful DSP shine through.

I've also decorated an envelope to match using the floral image in the "Fresh Vintage" stamp set, which is also one of the options offered as part of Sale-a-bration.

Please note - Sale-a-bration finishes at the end of the month, so if you would like to get your hands on the stamp set or DSP featured today, only have until then.  Once Sale-a-bration is over these options will no longer be available, you won't be able to event buy them as they are exclusive to this event this year.

Happy crafting..... xx

Mother's Day projects - No. 1

Hello there,

Over the next few days I am going to share with you a few projects for Mother's Day ~ can you believe it's just over a week away, how did that happen!

My first project is a CAS, ("Clean and Simple"), card using the "Delicate Doilies" stamp set.

I stamped the main image in "Pool Party" classic ink, then, using a sponge dauber, added more colour to the image.

For the embellishment, I used one of the really cute buttons from the "Bitty Buttons" set and backed it with "Pool Party" cardstock.  I threaded some linen thread through the holes and tied a bow ~ yes, it was fiddly to tie ~ lol!

Hope you like it, please come back tomorrow for some more Mother's Day ideas.

Retro Sketches Challenge No.1

My share today is a project I made to enter the challenge over at Retro Sketches  They are a new challenge site and I loved their first sketch, so obviously I wanted to join in.

Challenge Sketch
For my card I turned the sketch  by 90 degrees so that I could make a portrait card.

I used "Spice Cake" DSP, which is new in the Spring Mini catalogue. This paper is absolutely gorgeous in design and colour palette.  I stamped the sentiment with "Soft Suede" ink, then used the "Stamp-a-ma-jig" to get perfect alignment then stamped again using Versamark ink so that I could heat emboss using clear embossing powder.  This makes the sentiment lovely and shiny, not that you can see it in this photo, unfortunately. The main image is the "Triple Treat" stamp, it's one of the "a la carte" stamps which means it's really affordable, but by using the punches that coordinate with it perfectly, you can be really creative with it.  (see project ingredients for the punches used).
This card came together really quickly and I was really please how it came out, though I think I made have gone a bit mad with the basic pearls ~ lol!

Hope you like it. .....  xx
