"Scrappy" Cards

Hello,

Hope you are having a lovely weekend so far.

Today I wanted to share with you a couple of cards I've made using "Simply Scrappin" kits, which, as the name suggests, are actually kits designed with the Scrapbooker in mind, but that doesn't mean you can't make cards out of them.

Both cards are made using different kits but the same sketch.

This first card was made using the "Tea Time" kit

This second one was made using the "Country Club" kit.

This is a close up of the main embellishment on the card which is so easy to make with the punches.

These kits are great, you get DSP, Textured card stock and self-adhesive die cuts.  Everything you need to make a great scrapbooking page, or, as shown above, a quite and simple card.

Tomorrow I will be back with a scrapbook page I put together using one of the kits, until then, take care..... xx

"Sale-a-bration" card

Hi,

2nd post of the day and I'm back with another, very simple, "Sale-a-bration" card.

Now as you can see it is a very simple card, but I wanted to share this one with you as I thought you might find the scallop section interesting.

I've cut up into the centre of the scallop circle which creates separate 'petals'.  Unfortunately this photo doesn't shown the dimension I got when I then curled them up,  I also put holes into the larger scallop for additional interest.  I just used my paper piecing tool & mat pack for this.

Oh, and this card uses 2 different options within the "Sale-a-bration" selection, the DSP and the stamp set "Elementary Elegance", which is gorgeous by the way.

That's it for today, back tomorrow for a last look at some projects using these great FREE products available exclusively during "Sale-a-bration" which comes to an end tomorrow :o(

Birthday collection for a special friend - The card

Last week was my upline Sarah-Jane's birthday, she has been a great friend and she has welcomed me, not just in to the Stampin' Up family, but she has also welcomed me into her home and I've spent time with her lovely family too.

Not only is she a really genuine person she is also an amazing cook so I knew that I had to use the "Domenstic Goddess" DSP, I think Stampin' Up must have made this with her in mind!

The card is made with 1 piece of A6 sized cardstock, (10.5 x 14.8cm), with another strip coming around over the top that's used as the prop.  This is also where I adhered the white piece for the message, though underneath, so that you see it when you lift this section up. (Looks a bit weird on the photo as I've blanked out my message ~ must remember to take the photo before I write on a card!).

The "Celebrate" sentiment and the "Happy Birthday" sentiment are both from sets that are free as part of Sale-a-brations.  These fabulous sets could be yours if you spend £45 or more, (£90 if you want both sets), or £300 in orders if you host a Stampin' Up workshop.   If you want more information about how to get these or any of the other free items in this years Sale-a-bration event, then please do not hesitate to get in contact, email details above on the left.

Tomorrow I will share with you the gifts that I made for her, until then, take care of yourself
