SATURDAY INSPIRATION ~ Stampin' Up Catalogue

This week I'm sharing a Halloween Invitation that I made.

as you can see from the photo below, the envelope is completely open and you place the invitation in the centre of the open envelope before you seal it up.

You seal the envelope by folding in the sides, then the bottom, then the top..

.. and finally sealing it by wrapping the twine round the two popped up 'stoppers'.  I made these using a circle punch and popping them up with two dimensional adhesive pieces.

The stamp set I got the little Halloween pumpkin from was "Button Buddies".  I chose this stamp as I just wanted a little image without it being too obviously 'spooky Halloween'

And my inspiration?  well that came from the "Sealed with Love" kit, which is on page 35 of the current Autumn/Winter mini catalogue.  It's a adorable little kit but not really suitable for what I wanted.

Hope you like it and remember, inspiration comes from many places, enjoy!   xx

Ice lolly card

Hi there,

I met a family member in Waterloo station on Monday and the station staff there was giving away ice lollies, which was a very nice and sensible thing to do, it also inspired me to do a little crafting when I got home.

As you can see, it's an Ice Lolly card, well, actually, it's a cherry flavoured ice lolly ...

... and using the fabulous Stampin' Up Scented Embossing Powder, it even smells like cherries.

To make the lolly's stick, I used "Sahara Sand" cardstock and the "Woodgrain" stamp and round the ends with the 1" circle punch, but I put the cardstock in through the punch's whole so that I could just punch the end of the cardstock to give it that nice curve.

I also made an envelope for it using the "Simply Scored Scoring Tool" & Diagonal scoring plate.  These are wonderful tools, I really don't know how I managed without them, especially when you have unusual sized cards such as this one.

I made mine a birthday card but this style of card would be great for summer soirées and kids parties. Hope you like it.

Take care ... xx

Cherry Scented card

Hello,

Not got a lot of time at the moment for some reason, but I did want to quickly share this card with you.

It's using the Note card & Envelope set again as I love this size but the real fab part of this card is the cherries ~ they smell!

No, really, they do smell of cherries.  Stampin' Up have launched a range of scented clear embossing powders, you can get "Vanilla", "Cherry" or "Melon" ~ now seriously, how fantastic is that!

Ooo, all shiny!
I used marker pens to ink up the Cherry stamp from the "Button Buddies" stamp set then went over the cherries with the VersaMarker pen before adding the "Cherry" clear embossing powder.  So quick and easy to add a real surprise 'WOW' factor to your crafting.

Have a great day.... xx

Button Buddies cards

Happy St. Georges Day! ~  but I hope you're having a great day whether this sentiment is relevant to you or not :o)

Today I would like to share with you a few cards I made with the "Button Buddies" stamp set.  I was lucky enough to receive this set for free from Stampin' Up as an achievement award.  Stampin' Up are really good at offering incentives to demonstrators, they really make you feel like they have your back and are trying to help you achieve your goals as a demonstrator, whatever they may be.

I've made my cards 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" square cards, which is a size I love.

As you can see, these images are really cute but simple and great for all sorts of occasions.

I've only used a few of the images, there are still 5 more for me to play with.

Why "Button" buddies are you asking yourself?

Well that's because all the images have an element on them that matches up perfectly with our buttons, as you can see in the card above - how cool is that and makes 'stepping-up' card so easy.

I also teamed the images up in this little collection with the "Swirls & Curls Verses" sentiment set.  This is a hostess only item that is in the Spring mini catalogue, which comes to an end on the 30th of this month, so only about a week left to get hold of the items in that mini so don't delay in getting in contact if you would like to order any item in that catalogue.

take care ... xx
