"In Colour" tasteful trim card

My project today is a card that I made ages ago but only up to the point of the zig-zag made using the "Tasteful trim" Bigz Die as I wasn't sure what to put as a focal point on the card.

I only recently added the gorgeous sentiment from the "Million & One" stamp set.

I used the five colours from the 2013-15 In Colour collection;  These collections are a great way to add multiply colours as they always go so well together.

I like making basic cards that can easily be adapted to any situation, it's great when you need a card in a hurry as you only have to add the sentiment or a lovely image and your good to go.

Have a great day ..  xx

ABAC Sunday - Ugly diary makeover

My ABAC, (Anything But A Card), Sunday share this week is my diary.  Now don't get too excited, there aren't any secrets being shared, I just wanted to show you how I changed a very boring looking diary into something much more suitable.

it's from Paperchase and started life as a very plain-Jane indeed...

... but I liked the day-to-a-page layout inside, (I'm very fussy about what my diary layout is like), and it was a very reasonable price, but sooo boring to look at, but no longer!

A little bit of DSP, "Quatrefancy Speciality" to be exact and a little ribbon, some of the lovely "Chevron Ribbon" in "Island Indigo" and voila!

Something pretty and functional - yay!

Have a wonderful and restful Sunday!

Saturday CASE'd book ~ Washi Tape Card

My CASE'd, (Copy And Share Everything),  project today is an exact copy of a card my very lovely upline, Sarah-Jane made.

This was one of the cards she created for a team-only class we had a while back

It's made with the Washi Tape that is part of the "Gingham Garden" collection, it's so bright and cheerful.  All three designs are shown on this card.

The sentiment is from the "Really Good Greetings" stamp set, which is fab.

I love the sparkly silver line of "Silver Sparkle" dazzling Details, which is much more sparkly in real life.

Acetate Card

Really quick share with you today, I've been playing with Acetate.

As you can see, I used the acetate to create the card base and added some "Whisper White" card stock on just half of the card on both the front and the back, so there is a space to write your message but I stupidly didn't take a photo before I sent the card out!

Both the flower image and the sentiment came from the "Blooming with Kindness" stamp set, I love the font on the sentiments in this set.  The ribbon is the "Primrose Petals" Stitched Satin Ribbon, it's so soft and lush.

If you want any information about any of the projects to see on my blog, please do not hesitate to get in contact.

Cheerio till next time ... xx

Grungy card ... and a cute little visitor

I love the new stamp set "Gorgeous Grunge" I've been using it a lot recently.  This card was the first one I made with this stamp set.

It's really clean and simple

I used versamark ink and gold embossing powder to give it a bit of shine and added a few small pearls and rhinestones.  If you wanted to make it a bit more masculine, you could use silver embossing powder and just leave off the little embellishments.
I used "Naturals Vanilla" cardstock and card base, which ahas flecks of colour within it so adds to the overall 'grungy' feel.  I also stamped the envelope, with "Baked Brown Sugar" ink to give it a coordinated look, I've been decorating my envelopes a lot lately.

Oh, and whilst trying to photograph this card I got a little visitor who decided that she was the 'star' of the photo session

but it was obviously too much for her, so she settled in for a nap instead!

Take care.... x

CASE'd card

I was lucky enough to receive this beautiful card from the very talented Stephanie at Clearly Besotted Stamps.

I loved the simplicity of it and those feathers are gorgeous so I thought I'd CASE it using some SU stamps and colours.

My card is a bit bigger than the one I received and the main flower from the "Blooming with Kindness" stamp set is bigger that the feathers, but I think it works.

I used "Smoky Slate" and "Summer Starfruit" ink for my images, but of which I stamped off first before stamping onto the card base so the image would be softer.

The sentiment is also from "Blooming with Kindness" stamp set, it's one of my favourites.

Hope you like it, have a great day.

Birthday card for my brother.

Today is my brother Ashley's birthday, so obviously I needed to make a card for a male, which can be tricky to do except this time I ended up making a few.

This one highlights 2 new stamps sets, "Off the Grid" and "Really Good Sayings", as well as some of the lovely new "Chevron" ribbon.

This is the one I actually ended up sending to Ashley;  I've used the retired stamp set "Engraved Greetings" which is a fabulous stamp.

Rather than ribbon, on this one I used some DSP as the background strip, this one is from "Epic Day This and That" DSP.

I got a bit carried away and decorated the corner of the envelope and inside the card too.  The "Island Indigo" stripe is a stamp from the "Gorgeous Grunge" stamp set.

I think these stamp sets are perfect for boys of all ages, and I'm defiantly going to make some more of these for my card stash.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.
