Customer 'Thank You' card for February

Quickly wanted to come in and share with you my customer 'Thank You' card for February.  These are cards that I send as a little 'Thank You' that I do not write in, so that people who receive them can send them out themselves if they wish.

This month, I've made 2 cards as my customer 'Thank You' cards.

The first one is a Valentine's suitable card that I am sending out to those who place an order through me before 10th February.

The second one is a Birthday card that I'm sending out to anyone who places an order through me after the 10th Feb

I thought I would make two different cards this month as I didn't want to make just a Valentine's card as it would be a bit silly to send this out to someone after Valentine's day, plus it gave me an excuse to make more cards, which is always good

I used lots of lovely new products from the new Spring / Summer catalogue on this card, which goes live tomorrow, as well as Sale-a-bration products. See "Ingredients" below for details

A little something old....

So today's post is showcasing a little of something from the retiring Autumn / Winter catalogue with a little of something from the new Spring / Summer catalogue.

The old bits on this card are the "Early Espresso" Core'dinations card stock and the gorgeous "Scalloped Tulle" ribbon in "Crumb Cake" Both of which are fabulous products to work with.

The new on this card is the "Oh, Hello" stamp set that the flower image, sentiment and background chevrons all come from and also the Ovals collection of framelit dies. These two items also come as a bundle and have a saving of 15%, so a great bargain!

Close up of that lovely embossing on the Core'dinations card stock.  This was done with the new "Honeycomb" embossing folder and sanded with the "Stampin; Sanding System", which has been carried over from the Autumn / Winter catalogue as we have some more fabulous Core'dinations cardstock in the new catalogue in some lovely new colours.

Look out for the new catalogue on 1st Feb and don't forget to get in touch quick if you want to get anything from the Autumn / Winter catalogue, I would hate you to miss out ~ and remember, for every £45 you spend you get something FREE from the Sale-a-brations catalogue, see tab at the top of the screen for all the details.

A "Sale-a-bration" card

Yesterday I shared with you a card I made for my cousin Jennifer's birthday where I used the gorgeous "Natural Composition" speciality paper, well, I had so much fun using it that I made a few more that I thought I would share another one with you.

As you can see, it's another lovely pattern from that paper pack but this time I paired it up with one of the images from the "Feeling Sentimental" FREE SALE-A-BRATION stamp set.  The sentiment is from the "Loving Thoughts" stamp set

This photo shows just how lovely and glossy the images on the patterned paper are.  The sentiment was stamped onto the Cotton Ribbon that can be found in the current Autumn/Winter catalogue (* This catalogue ends on 31st Jan! *)

For this vintage image, I stamped it onto "Naturals Ivory" cardstock, inked the edges in "Crumb Cake" ink using one of the "Stamping Sponges" and layered it onto a piece of "Cherry Cobbler".  Both of these pieces I ripped rather than cut to add to the vintage feel of the card.

Back tomorrow with some projects using goodies from the new Spring / Summer catalogue that's out on 1st February.

Another Birthday card

My share today is another card that I made for a cousin's birthday, this time it was for my cousin Jennifer, whose birthday was last week. I have a LOT of cousins as my Dad was  of 14 children!

It was made using the beautiful "Natural Composition" speciality paper from the Annual catalogue, I love this pack that comes with gorgeous pre-heat embossed images, it's perfect for so many things and makes wonderful boxes and gift bags as well as adding a beautiful layer on, what is in fact, a very simple card.

I stamped the sentiment from the "Perfectly Penned" stamp set onto the Cotton Ribbon that is in the current Autumn/Winter catalogue - this catalogue retires on the 31st January, so if you want anything from that catalogue, please get in contact as soon as possible!

As the outside of the card was so quick and simple, I decorated the inside too.  I used the bloom image from the stamp set "Betsy's Blossoms" which I think matches the images on the "Natural Composition" beautifully, the butterfly image and the butterflies on the front of the card are from the "Papillon Potpourri" stamp set, with the butterflies on the front punched out with the "Elegant Butterfly" punch,  the smaller butterfly images on the inside was punched our with a new punch called "Bitty Butterfly" which is in the new Spring/Summer catalogue that comes out on 1st Feburary.

The sentiment I used on the inside is from the "Blooming with Kindness" stamp set, which is one of my favourites of the new ones in the current Annual catalogue.

I kept the colour palette simple, just "Raspbery Ripple", "Crumb Cake" and "Perfect Plum".  I got this trio of colours from my "Colour Coach" which is such a wonderful source of colour combinations.

Hope you have a wonderful day, and if you have any questions about any products on this or any of the projects I share with you, please do not hesitate to get in contact.

Special Birthday card

Hi there, hope you are having a lovely Sunday and that the sun is shining where you are.

Today, my share is a card I made for my cousin Christine's 60th birthday which was last month.  For this card I was inspired by some of the lovely cards that Julie Kettlewell, one of my Stampin' Up uplines made.  She makes lovely cards and it's always a treat when you visit her blog.

I used the "Memorable moments" stamp set, which really should be a staple in every crafters collection as it's so versatile and can cover off all special birthdays and anniversaries as well as being really pretty and easy to work with.

I used the "Labels Collection" Framelits, which correspond with the outline image within the stamp set to cut out both the image and a matt to layer it on.

The "Whisper White" layer was embossed using the "Lacy Brocade" embossing folder, this piece was layered onto a piece of "Brushed Gold" cardstock and those layers where put on a "Pacific Point" card blank.

I used "Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon" and one of the gorgeous "Vintage Faceted" Designer buttons.

Quick view of the inside, I don't always decorate the inside of the cards I made, but it was a special birthday so obviously you want the card to be as finished as possible.  I replicated the butterfly from the front.  This was punched out using the "Elegant Butterfly" punch and a few rhinestone jewels where added.

If you want to know more about any of the products used on todays card or any of the products is the extensive Stampin' Up range, please do not hesitate to get in touch for a chat.

Hope you liked today's share, have a great day .... x

Sale-a-bration sneak peek

Well, don't know about you, but where I live it's like a winter wonderland outside of the window with the snow we had over the weekend so I've got a "Snow Day" today as my local train is on a little branch line and the snow wrecks havoc with it.

Today's project was made with one of the options from 2013's "Sale-a-bration" event that starts tomorrow so basically, everything you see here, other than some adhesive and the little "Just for You" banner on the gift box was made from FREE stuff so cost me practically nothing to make.

This is the "Happy Hello" Simply Sent card kit and in it you get:

* 8 printed, die-cut cards (4 printed with "Hello", 4 left blank)
* 8 printed custom die-cut envelops, with the "Daffodil Delight" pattern on the flap
* 24 "Daffodil Delight" cardstock sticker flowers in 3 different sizes
* 8 "Basic Gray" cardstock sticker strips
* 8 pieces precut "Basic Gray" Baker's Twine - a colour that's exclusive to this kit
* 8 adhesive-backed rhinestones

All that within 1 option from the "Sale-a-brations" list of exclusive items ~ blimey!!

I used one of the blank cards and make this little gift box, (forgot to take a picture after I put the gift inside - d'Oh!  but the dimensions are 3" x 1-/4" x 3-5/8", so quite a good size), and it was really easy to make ~ if you want to know the dimensions, just get in contact.

I also made up the card from the kit, but obviously there is nothing to stop you using whatever you have in your crafty stash to dress it up however you want and use the embellishments you get in the kit on other projects.

"Sale-a-bration"

So, want to know what this "Sale-a-bration" thingy is all about?  Well, it's Stampin' Up's biggest event of the year whereby for every £45, (or 60 Euros), you get FREE stuff!  Now, if FREE stuff is not good enough, you don't just get the FREE stuff that Stampin' Up want to send you , you get to choose from 11 Exclusive to "Sale-a-bration" items that includes full stamp sets and packets of designer series paper,  as well as 6 items from the Annual Catalogue.... and that's not all, to celebrate Stampin' Up's 25th anniversary, you could also get FREE pack of Silver Glimmer paper.  There are lots of other bundles and extra FREE stuff but I will go into all that in lots of detail tomorrow, when this wonderful event starts.

See you then...xx

Hello & a Sale-a-bration sneak peek

Hi there,

Sorry I've not posted in a while, life has been busy but I have found the time to do some crafting so I do have some projects to share with you made with lovely new products that will be available very soon.

I know it's late on Sunday but I just wanted to quickly share with you the card I made as my Christmas Thank You card.

I used the "Evergreen" stamp set, which is just gorgeous and can be found in the Autumn/Winter mini catalogue.

The card base comes from the "Card & Envelope notes" pack, which is perfect when you want to make a stack of cards such as a Thank You card.  I also used the "Brushed Gold" card stock, which is so shimmery and pretty.  This close up also shows another stamp from the "Evergreen" stamp set that I stamped in "Champagne Shimmer Mist" over the top of the main tree section.  Now if you like the look of this stamp set, it's in the Autumn/Winter catalogue, which runs out on 31st Jan, so if you like the look of this set get your order in soon.

Noticed that I haven't mentioned the stamp used for the "Thanks" sentiment yet?  Well, it's part of a new collection called "Vintage Verses" that is a free set that you can get as part of the "Sale-a-brations" event which starts on Tuesday - yay! ~ Free stuff!!

More about Sale-a-bration on Monday, until then... x
