Easter Project - No. 1

Easter is not far off now so I thought it was about time I started sharing a few Easter projects with you.

My first is a card..

I've used the "Secret Garden" stamp set, which is just gorgeous, which I stamped onto DSP and cut out by hand;  I also used the beautiful "Easter Blessings" stamp, which I think is great value at just £7.95 for such a large image and defiantly one that will be used for years to come.

The butterfly is from the "Beautiful Wings" embosslit for the Big Shot

I enjoyed making this card so much, I thought I'd make a few more in lovely spring-like colours.

Any questions, or if you would like more information on any Stampin Up product, please do not hesitate to get in contact.

Colourful "Get-Well" wishes

My poor Sister-in-law has recently had a fall and broke her hip so I wanted to make her a colourful, sparkly and cheerful card.

I actually had a couple of these butterflies sitting on my crafting desk for a few day and was wondering what to do with them as I knew I wanted to do a 'rainbow' of butterflies but wasn't sure how I would display them, but when I came to putting a card together for her it all just fell into place beautifully.

I love the few lines of little hearts that the "Textured Impressions" embossing folder add, it's a nice, subtle detail that adds a lovely finishing touch.

I hope she liked it, chat again soon ... xx

"Sale-a-bration" ends today ~ last look

Hi there, hope you are having a lovely Saturday.

Today I will be sharing the last lot of projects I've made using the exclusive products you can get for free as part of this years "Sale-a-bration" event.

These two cards are basically the same, the only real difference is that on the top card I used the "Postage Stamp" punch and on the bottom the "1 1/4" Square" punch.  The card blanks for these are 2/3rd of a sheet of A4 "Confetti Cream" cardstock folded in half.  Cards this size fit into a standard business envelope.

The next couple of cards are Easter cards, which I am waaaay behind on!

The "Everyday Enchantment" DSP is perfect for Easter projects.

On both of these cards I used the large image from "Creative Elements" stamp set as a background stamp.

This next card has a very simple colour palette being just Black, White & Red. This uses the "Fresh Vintage" stamp set from the "Sale-a-bration" collection.

Just to add some interest, I added a string of pearls to underline the sentiment and also on the centre of the butterfly that I cut out using "Beautiful Wings" embosslit and the "Everyday Enchantment" DSP.

... and finally,

A celebration card using the "Outlined Occasions" stamp set, which is another "Sale-a-bration" option.

Well I hope you have found some inspiration amongst these last few projects, I can honestly say that the products being offered for free as part of this years "Sale-a-bration" is outstanding and I'm sorry that they will no longer be available after today, so if you want to get your hands on, please don't delay and get in contact today as I would hate for anyone to be disappointed.  Remember, you can choose 1 item for every £45 spent

Monday CASE'd book

Hi,

Very late in posting as I've had a migraine today and it can knock me for six whilst I'm waiting for it to wear off, luckily I only get them once or twice a year so I can't complain.

I wanted to post as I am starting a new series called "Monday CASE'd booked".  This is going to be a regular series where I CASE a project that I've seen either in catalogue or on a YouTube video.

My share today is something I CASE'd from the Catalogue, it can be found on Pg 124.

Making this came in handy as I needed a card for my niece, Sandra, whose birthday it was last week and I wanted something quite pretty and girlie.

I then made another one, but just turned it round and changed a couple of things.

I think CASE'ing projects is a great way to get your creative juices flowing if you've lost your crafty mojo, you just need to make sure you give due credit to whoever or where ever inspired you.

Anyway, hope your day was better than mine, take care ...xx

It's all gone a bit wrong somewhere :o/

So yesterday I showed you a simple male card, well I had actually cut the cardstock and stamped the background image and the birthday sentiment a couple of times with the intention of making two in the same colour palette and, well, it somehow went a bit wrong and ended up all girlie  :o/

I blame the "Whisper White" piece that I had cut using my "Lace Ribbon" border punch that I had sitting on my desk!  All I did was pick it up to see how it would look over the lovely "Pacific Point" strip and before I knew it,  I had glued it on, butterflies appeared and rhinestones where being taken out of the packet!  Still, I needed a card for my sister whose birthday is at the weekend and this is perfect for her as she is a bit of a tomboy still, so this has nice feminine touches without being all pink and soppy.

Does that every happen to you, start out making one thing and end up with something completely different - lol!

take care ... xx

Birthday card for my cousin

Hello,

Today I would like to share a card I made for my cousin Gillian for her birthday today.

Gillian's birthday card.
I've seen quite a lot of this style and layout made a home decor items but I wanted to give it a try as a birthday card.

I used the main flourish image from the "Baroque Motifs" stamp set and stamped it using the Versamark ink pad to give a gentle watermark image to the background.  Then used the "Beautiful Wings" embosslits die for the big shot to make all the butterflies you see here.  To give it a bit more sparkle I added jewels in the centre of all the butterflies and also I sprayed it with Champagne shimmer mist mixed with surgical spirit.

Inside detail
I decorated the inside, but for my message, I cut out a piece of  "Naturals Ivory" card stock, used the "Baroque Motifs" image again, added a further sentiment form the "Petite Pairs" stamp set to the left of the card.  I then adhered this using removable adhesive so that when Gillian's birthday is over, she can remove my message and re-use the card if she wants.

I was please how it came out, just hope she likes it.

Take care ... xx
