Saturday CASE'd book ~ Washi Tape Card

My CASE'd, (Copy And Share Everything),  project today is an exact copy of a card my very lovely upline, Sarah-Jane made.

This was one of the cards she created for a team-only class we had a while back

It's made with the Washi Tape that is part of the "Gingham Garden" collection, it's so bright and cheerful.  All three designs are shown on this card.

The sentiment is from the "Really Good Greetings" stamp set, which is fab.

I love the sparkly silver line of "Silver Sparkle" dazzling Details, which is much more sparkly in real life.

Grungy card ... and a cute little visitor

I love the new stamp set "Gorgeous Grunge" I've been using it a lot recently.  This card was the first one I made with this stamp set.

It's really clean and simple

I used versamark ink and gold embossing powder to give it a bit of shine and added a few small pearls and rhinestones.  If you wanted to make it a bit more masculine, you could use silver embossing powder and just leave off the little embellishments.
I used "Naturals Vanilla" cardstock and card base, which ahas flecks of colour within it so adds to the overall 'grungy' feel.  I also stamped the envelope, with "Baked Brown Sugar" ink to give it a coordinated look, I've been decorating my envelopes a lot lately.

Oh, and whilst trying to photograph this card I got a little visitor who decided that she was the 'star' of the photo session

but it was obviously too much for her, so she settled in for a nap instead!

Take care.... x

Birthday card for my brother.

Today is my brother Ashley's birthday, so obviously I needed to make a card for a male, which can be tricky to do except this time I ended up making a few.

This one highlights 2 new stamps sets, "Off the Grid" and "Really Good Sayings", as well as some of the lovely new "Chevron" ribbon.

This is the one I actually ended up sending to Ashley;  I've used the retired stamp set "Engraved Greetings" which is a fabulous stamp.

Rather than ribbon, on this one I used some DSP as the background strip, this one is from "Epic Day This and That" DSP.

I got a bit carried away and decorated the corner of the envelope and inside the card too.  The "Island Indigo" stripe is a stamp from the "Gorgeous Grunge" stamp set.

I think these stamp sets are perfect for boys of all ages, and I'm defiantly going to make some more of these for my card stash.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.
