Quick Little birthday card

Going to have a break from Easter projects today and share with you a little birthday card.

It's a 4" x 4" card.  I like this size as it's suitable for a quick note or a full card, especially for people who you might want to give a card to but you don't necessarily know that well.
As you can see, I've kept it quite simple and this would be a great design to mass produce, also, a quick change of the DSP and colours and you've got a card suitable for men too.

The main image is the cake from the "Sale-a-bration" exclusive set called "Patterned Occasions" and I've used "Tea for Two" DSP, I think they go together rather lovely.  I've also put a small spot of "Crystal Effects" on the love heart, so, in real life, it pops nicely off the page.

Take care ... x

Easter Project - No. 5

Today I have a project that coordinates with yesterdays card.

It's a little 'basket', well, it's more of a box but it is just the perfect size for some lovely little eggs.  I used the same "Sunshine & Sprinkles" DSP as I used yesterday.

Side angle for you, the little bird image is cut out of the DSP

This is really a close up of the ribbon, I'm getting good at tying ribbon, finally!  ~ Actually, to be honest, this "Striped Organdy" Ribbon is a joy to tie, so it should take a lot of the credit!  I used the "Melon Mambo" one on this project.

and here are the two projects together, as you can tell from the ratio of the box to the card, it's actually a decent size so a perfect little gift set.

Easter Project - No. 4

Firstly, sorry about the rubbish photo's, I really need to try and sort myself out, I think the problem is the lighting, anyway, the project, and another card today but this is a 2-parter as tomorrow I have a cute little Easter 'basket' that matches this card to share with you.

The card is as simple as can be.  I cut off about 1 1/2" or so off the right hand side of a card blank

I adhered a strip of the "Sunshine and Sprinkles" DSP, which, as you see, is the perfect Easter DSP, I actually had a strip that was about 2" wide so that it actually extended into the card.

I stamped the "Easter Blessings" sentiment, layered that with some "Primrose Petals" ribbon and stuck to the front, seriously, it couldn't be any easier so if you have a load to make this would be a great 'production line' type card.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow to see the coordinating 'basket'

Easter Project - No. 3

Yet another card in my Easter projects shares for you today.

I've used the stamp set "Secret Garden" again, this type just randomly stamping over a sheet of "Whisper White" cardstock to make my own background paper.  I then stamped the "Easter Blessings" image over the top.

This is quite a fussy card for me, but I was really pleased how it came out, hope you like it too.

Any questions, please do not hesitate to get in contact... bye x

Easter Project - No. 2

Another Easter card for you today and I have to admit that I'm not that happy with it, but I think it's a good idea to share not just the good, but the bad and the ugly too!

Now, I'm not saying that this card is either 'bad' or 'ugly' but there is something about it that I'm not happy with that I can't put my finger on at the moment.

I used the "Everybunny" stamp set, which I love, it's sooo cute!  I also used the "Delightful Dozen" stamp set for the sentiment, which is a great stamp set and should be in every crafters stash!

Anyway, I'm off to ponder this card for a bit and see if I can come up with what's bugging me about it, chat again soon... x

Easter Project - No. 1

Easter is not far off now so I thought it was about time I started sharing a few Easter projects with you.

My first is a card..

I've used the "Secret Garden" stamp set, which is just gorgeous, which I stamped onto DSP and cut out by hand;  I also used the beautiful "Easter Blessings" stamp, which I think is great value at just £7.95 for such a large image and defiantly one that will be used for years to come.

The butterfly is from the "Beautiful Wings" embosslit for the Big Shot

I enjoyed making this card so much, I thought I'd make a few more in lovely spring-like colours.

Any questions, or if you would like more information on any Stampin Up product, please do not hesitate to get in contact.

Special little someone's birthday Card

It was my adorable little niece Amy's birthday over the weekend, and this is the card I made for her.

Being an idiot, I forgot to take photo's before giving it to her, so this photo was taken at Nanny and Rara's house ~ she calls her Grandad, "Rara" as she likes it when he pretends to be a lion!

To make the little dress, I used the "Build a Blossom" stamp set and coordinating punch for the 'skirt' and "Itty Bitty Bits" stamp set for the 'top'.  I also used the "Memorable Moments", "Lovely Letters Alphabet" for the sentiments.

This is a picture of her blowing her candles out at her little tea party that we had round my youngest brothers house.

She actually blew all the candles out herself, she such a little star, but I might be a little biased on that point!

Another Thank You card

My card today is similar to one I've posted before, but I just love using the "Natural Composition Speciality" DSP from Stampin Up as it's so striking that you don't have to do that much to it.

As you can see, the flowers are gorgeous in the background, so, other than laying it on top of a card base made from "Pool Party" cardstock, you are nearly there.

This image really helps show up how shiny the DSP is.

A quick sentiment, stamped onto some ribbon, and a couple of punched butterflies with a couple of little "Pearl Jewels" and your done!  Oh, nearly forgot, I also when round the edges of the punched butterflies with "Soft Suede" ink, just to help them stand out a bit more.
